Real Madrid ready to make discount offer for Donny van de Beek

Real Madrid are said to be preparing a discounted offer to keep Manchester United-ruled Donny van de Beek away from Old Trafford.

According to a report from the Spanish media Fichajes, Real Madrid appear to be stepping up efforts to sign Donny van de Beek. The Spanish giants are preparing a cut-price offer to secure the services of Manchester United’s outcast.

Donny van de Beek joined Manchester United from Ajax as a distinguished arrival for the Red Devils in the summer of 2020. However, he has been anything but a renowned Premier League heavyweight player, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer barely turning Bruno Fernandes in the no. 10 locations. His situation worsened as he also lost his place in the Dutch national team.

Things went from bad to worse for van de Beek at the start of the 2021/22 season, with the Dutchman having only made five appearances so far, amassing 154 minutes of playing time in the process. However, despite his struggles at Manchester United, the 24-year-old has no shortage of suitors, with the Real Madrid boss among his potential suitors.

Real Madrid’s interest is understandable, given that Luka Modric is nearing the end of his successful career. Additionally, Toni Kroos is well into his 30s and will have to start phasing out in a few years.

So, while Eduardo Camavinga was signed this summer, the signing of van de Beek will facilitate a smooth transition to the next generation of midfielders, especially with Isco and Dani Ceballos deemed to be surplus to requirements. And according to recent reports, the Manchester United outcast is keen to join Real Madrid.

So his offer to leave Manchester United will have received a huge boost from the latest reports that Real Madrid are preparing a discounted offer for him. That said, it is not clear whether Manchester United will accept a lowball offer for the underprivileged midfielder.

What is certain, however, is that van de Beek is determined to end his struggles at Old Trafford by leaving Manchester United as soon as possible. So, it remains to be seen how much Real Madrid are offering to secure the services of the Manchester United outcast, given that the ball is now in their court.
